A Journey of Friendship, Cycling, and New Beginnings

I still remember the day I met Chima. It’s funny—at the time, I didn’t think much of it. I couldn’t have predicted that months down the line, we’d be building something truly meaningful. But here we are, slowly but surely creating a bond that’s grown through shared experiences, conversations, and most of all, our mutual love for cycling.

Nowadays, finding people who share your interests and actually have the time to connect can be a challenge. Everyone’s busy, caught up in their own schedules, and cycling isn’t exactly the most mainstream hobby. But Chima was different. He didn’t just make time—he showed up. He understood the thrill, the freedom, and the quiet moments of reflection that come with being on two wheels, racing down an open road.

One of my favourite memories with Chima has to be our first ride to the beach. It was a day I’ll never forget. We cruised along the roads, wind in our faces, the sun shining down, talking and laughing all the way. That ride was special—not just because of the destination, but because I realised that day that I wanted this incredible person in my life. Someone who shared my passion for adventure, someone I could count on.

Since then, we’ve been building more than just a friendship. We’ve been creating memories, cycling through not just roads but life’s journey. And I can’t wait for the adventures that still lie ahead.

To add to the excitement, I recently found out that Chima’s getting married in a few months to the lovely Kayira. My wife and I are excited for you both. It’s heartwarming to see two great people finding their way to each other, and it just feels like another sign that great minds really do think alike.
